Though it is true, that the brim will have a weaker connection to the model with the elephant foot compensation turned on. In reality, the gap will be filled in by the squished-out material. The elephant foot compensation compensates for the squish, which is not visualized in the preview. Brim doesn't connect to the model with Elephant foot compensation turned on First you need to configure your slicer to emit firmware retraction commands. Marlin then does a retraction and optional Z-hop. ![]() The slicer enters gcode G10 any time a retraction is needed and gcode G11 at the end of the travel move. Official Prusa profiles have this setting turned on by default. Firmware retraction allows you to control any retraction parameters during a print. ![]()
